During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the city came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
